Springdale, Utah

Springdale, Utah

Planning a trip to Zion National Park? Springdale is the main town outside of the park, and makes for a great stop along the way. We’ll go over almost everything you need, from restaurants and laundry mats to things to do.

Getting Around:

Getting around Springdale is remarkably easy. When I said Springdale is right outside of the park, I mean it. We walked from Watchman Campground into town each day we were here. There is a small bridge that spans the river and brings you to the National Park gate. The Springdale shuttle has stops all along the main road, which is where most of the attractions are.

Parking in Springdale is limited, the same goes for the Zion National Park lots. Parking in the National Park is free but parking in town is $5 an hour or $15 all day and varies depending on which lot you park in. I highly suggest getting in to town early if you want to find a good parking spot. We saw parking patrol out doing their thing all day long, so there really isn’t any “getting away with it” and parking in business spots.

In town amenities:

Laundry:

Zion Park Laundry
849 Zion-Mount Carmel Highway
Open: 7 days a week 7am-10pm

An average laundry facility in a convenient spot in town. They have coin op detergent dispensers as well. We used the speed cycle on the washer and walked across the street a little ways for breakfast at Deep Creek Coffee.

Zion Outfitter
7 Zion Park Blvd

In the basement area of Zion Outfitters they have washers, dryers and coin op showers. The laundry facility was under maintenance while we were visiting so we had to use the Zion Park Laundry facility. The coin op showers are nice. They have a separate men’s and women’s area with individual showers inside.
